Football rumours: Arsenal hoping third bid enough to secure Declan Rice

What the papers say

Arsenal have entered their third bid, worth £105million for West Ham star Declan Rice after Manchester City had a bid rejected at £90million, the Guardian said.

West Ham will reportedly wait for Manchester City to submit another offer on Wednesday.

Bayern Munich’s first bid of around £60million plus add-ons for Harry Kane has been deemed too low by Tottenham, the Guardian reported.

The club are demanding £100million for the England and Tottenham captain, who is said to be keen to move to the club.

Inter Milan are looking to acquire Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku on loan again next season with an £25million option to buy him at the end of the year, the Telegraph said.

Ramsdale revels in Arsenal heroics: ´It was one of those days where I saved everything´

Aaron Ramsdale was left revelling in the fact he saved everything during an inspirational performance as Arsenal beat Leicester City 2-0 on Saturday.

Arsenal were buoyed by two early goals as Gabriel Magalhaes and Emile Smith Rowe had them comfortably ahead inside 18 minutes, but from then Ramsdale was the key man.

A maligned pre-season arrival from Sheffield United, Ramsdale has dislodged Bernd Leno as Arsenal s first-choice goalkeeper and showed why that is the case at the King Power Stadium.

He saved all eight of Leicester s shots on target, which improved his overall save percentage for the season to 85.7, which is bettered by only Edouard Mendy (89.7) among goalkeepers to have faced more than two shots.

Further to that, according to Stats Perform s x…

Alberto Aquilani has joined AC Milan on a season-long loan from Liverpool, with a view to a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Anfield outfit in 2009 for a fee of 20 million pounds from Roma, but never settled at the club, making just 28 appearances in all competitions.

He spent last season on loan at Juventus before the off-season signings of Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing made it clear he would not feature in manager Kenny Dalglish s first-team squad, despite impressing in pre-season.

The loan deal will see him at Milan for the season, with Massimiliano Allegri s side having the option to purchase the midfielder if he makes at least 25 appearances for the club.

Aquilani will replace Andrea Pirlo, who joined Juvent…

Losing Naismith will be a huge blow for the club as the striker has been in great form this season with nine goals to his name from 11 appearances.

Naismith suffered a similar problem in his left knee in 2008 and was out for eight months.

Solskjaer: Manchester United have Champions League belief

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks an upbeat Manchester United can channel the belief gained from their rollercoaster win over Southampton into another famous Champions League fightback.

Two goals from Romelu Lukaku and a spectacular Andreas Pereira strike overturned a first-half deficit and helped United see off the plucky Saints for a thrilling 3-2 triumph at Old Trafford.

The comeback sent confidence soaring ahead of this week s make-or-break Champions League last-16 trip to face Paris Saint-Germain, who take a commanding 2-0 advantage into the second leg.

United will need every bit of their impressive form to erase that scoreline at Parc des Princes but interim boss Solskjaer was encouraged by what he saw after Saturday s victory.

The dressing room was bou…
