The Flash Director's Shadow Of The Colossus Movie Isn't Totally Dead Just Yet

A Shadow of the Colossus movie has been in the works for more than a decade already, and despite nothing materializing yet, the project’s director has issued a hopeful statement about it. In a recent interview, Andy Muschietti said Shadow of the Colossus is a “masterpiece” and that he’s played it several times. Now, after 10 years, the “possibility of making [the movie] is opening up,” he said.

Muschietti told La Baulera del Coso on Radio TU that he’s been impressed by the script he’s seen, but whether or not he’ll actually get to make the movie may come down to financing.

“Shadow of the Colossus is a cult game, but to make a good film, there is a studio that puts the numbers and says how much it is worth to give the director $200 million, $150 million, or $100 million,” he …

What exactly these will get you isn’t clear, though: the blog post only says, “This new and very aptly named cur…

Warner Bros. Hints At More Batman As Part Of Its New Games Strategy

During an earnings call this week, Warner Bros. confirmed that its games division had underperformed in 2024, and going forward, the company plans to refocus efforts on four key IP pillars, including Batman. After Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and MultiVersus led to a $300 million hit to its revenue, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav explained that Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, and DC–in particular Batman–will be the company’s focal points.

The other big change here will be a reduced number of games in development, leading to a “steadier” gaming business, Zaslav explained during a financial call.
